Baby It’s Cold Outside…

1. Don’t ignore SPF on cloudy days! Just because the sun isn’t shining, it’s still there!  In addition, the sun reflects off snow!  Another reason to apply daily….

2. Scrub Off That Dry Skin.  By ridding your epidermis (top layer) of any flaky, dry skin, active ingredients in treatment products will penetrate better because they don’t have to fight through that extra layer.  Scrub away two to three times per week.

3. Don’t Lose Your Lipids.  As the temperature drops, skin is more prone to losing precious lipids that keep our skin moisturized.  Layer up with protective moisturizer and SPF.

Grapefruit, Carrot, and Ginger Juice

Serves 1

Ingredients

2 chopped grapefruits (peel and pith removed)

5 chopped carrots

1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

Directions

Press grapefruits, carrots, and ginger through a juice extractor. Stir and serve immediately.
